On Friday 10th July, five members of Team Dunsters headed to Manchester Central Convention Centre to take on the unique challenge of pulling a full-sized bus, all in support of the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity. What followed was a fantastic day of teamwork and community spirit, as businesses from across Greater Manchester came together to raise funds for a truly important cause.
Alongside a host of other businesses from across the region, our team (Craig Grayshon, Adam Porter, Ben Stocks, Joshua Bradbury, and Andrew Petch) took on the task of pulling a full-sized bus over 30 metres using nothing but grit and determination. After plenty of encouragement from supporters, Team Dunsters successfully completed the challenge in 24.18 seconds.
The Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity works to bring together businesses, communities and organisations to help tackle homelessness and create brighter futures for people across the region. We’re incredibly proud to share that our fundraising efforts raised £520, with an additional £105 in Gift Aid, bringing the total raised to a brilliant £625 for the organisation.

“I couldn’t be prouder of the team for taking on the charity bus pull. It certainly wasn’t an easy feat, but they showed real determination from start to finish. It turns out our transport team are just as good at pulling vehicles as they are at driving them!
Our team were especially proud to complete the challenge in aid of the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity, a cause we first got to know through the GM Good Employment Charter & who support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
