Dunsters Farm proudly hosted the Mayor of Rochdale, Mike Holly, at our facility at Waterfold Park, on Tuesday 12th December.
Mayor Mike Holly enjoyed a catch up with the family behind Dunsters Farm, meeting Group Commercial Director, Tom Mathew, and Executive Chairman, Jeremy Mathew as well as other members of the board – to learn more about the rich history of our company and our ambitious plans for its future.
Whilst Dunsters Farm was rooted in Bury, many are unaware that the business is now sited on the very edge of the Rochdale borough, we’re also supporting many of the region’s people – with over 25% of our staff from the Rochdale area.
The Mayor was also given a tour of the facilities, and met many of the team, including an overview of our warehouse, office facilities, and an overview of the future plans for expansion at the depot.
The visit was particularly poignant as it coincides with the beginning of our 60th Birthday celebrations, which start at the end of this month and follows two prestigious award wins for Dunsters Farm, at the Rochdale Business & Federation of Wholesale Distributors awards.
Following flagship tender wins, massive expansion of product range, and double the staffing numbers in the past 12 months, Councillor Mike Holly, was ‘impressed’ with the innovation and investment we’re displaying at Dunsters Farm.
