We were happy to have supported Eat Well MCR with their pop-up drinks stall at Live from Wythenshawe Park this weekend.
Eat Well MCR, the Manchester food charity, ran the stall over the bank holiday weekend, where thousands of festival-goers turned out for food, drink and live music from headline acts including Pulp, The Courteeners, and The Prodigy.
The stall sold drinks across the weekend with support from ourselves and Manchester soft drinks brand [Hip Pop] who donated the stock, and every penny went straight back to the charity. Together they raised over £3,000 for Eat Well MCR’s work.
Our bit was the logistics. We handled the delivery and set-up on site, and kept the stock stored and cold right through the weekend.
Gemma Saunders, Co-Founder & Director at Eat Well MCR, said:
“Thanks to Dunsters Farm for all the incredible support this weekend. They made our lives so much easier, kept our drinks chilled the whole time, and helped us raise over £3,000 and give some young people real work experience. We literally couldn’t have done it without them.”
We’ve been working closely with Eat Well MCR over the last few months. Founded in 2020 by Manchester chef Mary-Ellen McTague, the charity cooks and delivers free, restaurant-quality meals to people across Greater Manchester who need them most, and has passed 150,000 meals since it started.
It’s a partnership that sits right at the heart of what we’re here to do & our vision ‘to Feed the North, for good’. Eat Well MCR are doing exactly that on our doorstep, a few miles down the road from us in Bury, so it was an easy one to get behind.
There’s plenty more to come with Eat Well MCR over the next few months, so keep your eyes peeled .
