Dunsters Farm driver, Peter Taylor has been awarded the ‘Star Driver’ Award at the 2022 FWD Wholesale Gold Medal Awards, held at Old Billingsgate, London.
The awards, hailed as the biggest night of the year for the food wholesale sector, celebrated the outstanding people, products and services of the last 12 months and aimed to recognise the contribution of people in wholesale during a year of recovery and reinvention.
Driver Peter was nominated by fellow transport team members, alongside his colleague Robert Marlor, in recognition of their fantastic dedication to delivery, and impeccable customer service in 2022.
Transport & Operations Manager, David White, nominated Peter for the award;
“Peter is a relatively new member of our driving team here at Dunsters Farm, but he’s already had a fantastic, positive impact.
“In addition to being a diligent, hard-working team member, taking on the most difficult driving routes. Peter is also especially committed to our customers, receiving extremely positive feedback from a range of our customers and colleagues.
“Our Transport team understand that a driver at a foodservice business can often be one of the only touchpoints a customer has with our organisation, and as such, we’re proud to have team members like Peter, representing Team Dunsters.”
Going the extra mile
Peter was nominated after building positive relationships with Dunsters Farm customers since joining the business. With service that goes way beyond a cheery disposition and timely deliveries, Peter has done extra hours and offered additional support – always ensuring customers are left happy, with positive feedback from many of his regular drops.
