Dunsters Farm is proud to support the Better Business Act, a campaign to change UK Law to ensure that company directors are responsible for advancing the interests of shareholders alongside those of the wider society and environment.
We’re encouraged by the fact that the Better Business Act is a business-led campaign, driven by leaders who recognise that the law has fallen behind business culture and who have proven that this approach to business works for everyone.
Tom Mathew, Commercial Director said;
“Here at Dunsters, we believe our business should add value to everyone – creating good jobs and doing our bit to help fix pressing problems, this is written in our mission statement and reflected in how we do business every day.
“We are incredibly proud to join a coalition of like-minded organisations and help support the Better Business Act, a campaign that aligns with our company’s values of sustainability and positive impact.”
Hundreds of businesses have already signed up to create a cleaner, greener, fairer future for all. Together, we will ask for the government’s leadership to help deliver this new contract between business and society. Learn more at www.betterbusinessact.org.
What is the Better Business Act?
The act is a business-led campaign, driven by leaders who recognise that current legislation (Section 172 of The Companies Act) is falling short, and needs to reflect a new business culture, where every single UK company, takes ownership of its impact – whether it be social or environmental.
