“Is it a real farm?” This is a question we often get asked by customers.
Sadly, the answer is no, although we do have the occasional lost sheep wandering through the yard! The name Dunsters Farm comes from the original home of the company in Brandlesholme, Bury.
Dunsters Farm was a run down pig farm when it was bought by our founder, Les Ratcliffe. Les and his wife Nancy ran their milk round business from the family home and in 1963, Dunsters Farm became a limited company. By then Les was selling much more than milk and Dunsters Farm became well known in the local area and beyond for top quality dairy products.
The original Dunsters Farm no longer exists but the company has retained the name (but not the animals!).
